Previously known as the Dan Michaud Memorial Ride, For 25 years, friends and supporters of Dan R. Michaud honored his personal end-of-life journey by raising money and riding in this annual bike event to help benefit the Maine Hospice Council and Center for End-of-Life Care.
The tradition continues now as the Ride For Hospice to celebrate the lives of passed loved ones by supporting the people and organizations working to improve end-of-life care throughout Maine.
Join us in honoring the memory of passed loved ones by participating in this important fund raising event and enjoying the beautiful picturesque bike route. The need is even greater this year, because of the downturn in the economy. The goal this year is to raise $10,000.00 in pledges and sponsorships. We would like to see each rider build a team. Challenge another group of riders to participate and meet (or beat) your teams fundraising efforts!
- The Ride For Hospice 2013 will be held on Saturday, August 24th on “The Green” in Brunswick, Maine.
- There are 25 mile, 50 mile and, due to popular request the 100 mile ride.
The rest stops along the way provide food and drinks, and after completion, will be food, prizes, music and of course great conversation. The nourishing gourmet food and drinks provided by the Board of Directors, in appreciation of your participation, make this a unique and enjoyable family event.
We encourage you to visit and pre-register at the Maine Hospice Council web site.
If you know of any health care organizations that would like to donate their time or have information to share we encourage them to reach out to us for space availability.
If you would like to be involved and cannot participate by riding or walking, we are also looking for volunteers. If you are interested in being a volunteer or sponsor, please call 207.626.0651 and ask for Lynne.
